The Dodgers had gone upbound 2-1 when Blake scored on Greg Burke's(notes) savage rear in the seventh. It was Burke's front delivery after relieving starter Josh Geer(notes). Burke (1-0) got two outs in the seventh for the win.

Loser Ronald Belisario(notes) (1-3) allowed and digit hits while getting exclusive one out in the ordinal. He walked one batter and hit another.

The Padres fastened it in the tierce when Geer led off with a multiply for his original job extra-base hit, sophisticated on Cabrera's killing strike and scored on Painter Eckstein's exclusive to right-center.
